AFFORDABLE HOMES FOR KEITH AND PETERHEAD
AFFORDABLE HOMES GET UNDERWAY AT KEITH AND PETERHEAD
Two new projects providing affordable homes in Keith and Peterhead are about to take flight. In partnership with Osprey Housing, a not-for-profit housing provider, Deveron Construction will undertake the two developments in contracts worth an estimated £ 2 million.
The properties which are being built to meet the needs of young people, couples and families struggling to find affordable housing, will provide eight one-bedroom flats for affordable rent in Keith with a further nine 2bedroomed flats in Peterhead.
‘There is an urgent need for good quality, affordable housing in Keith and Peterhead where local people, particularly younger people cannot afford a home of their own in the area,’ said Colin Hawkins, Chief Executive of Osprey Housing. ‘We are committed to building homes in towns like Keith and Peterhead. These schemes help preserve the economic viability of small communities by enabling local people on modest incomes to live and work close to their family, friends and support network.’
Steve Wells, Managing Director of Deveron Group commented: ‘We are delighted to be working with Osprey Housing on their new projects. We are extremely proud of our reputation for high quality energy-efficient homes and are very pleased to be able to help Osprey deliver vital, affordable housing for local people.’
